Some pop singers are stars. Morrissey is a whole cosmos.

Lesley O'Toole: Do you regret anything you said?
Morrissey: No! I'll say it now and I'll say it louder and I'll say it any time you want me to say it.

Id: How important are clothes to you?
Morrissey: They don't have the relevance they once had, like in the '60's you could look at someone and assess their personality. That's not the case anymore. Clothes are no longer the window of the soul.
Id: Ok, so is style important?
Morrissey: Style has nothing to do with clothes. You can't become stylish; either you are or you aren't. But you can become fashionable. You can go out and buy the stuff. But again, if you wear it badly it means nothing.

SH: Favourite shop?
Morrissey: Rymans, the stationers. To me it's like a sweetshop. I go in there for hours, smelling the envelopes. As I grew up I used to love stationery and pens and booklets and binders. I can get incredibly erotic about blotting paper. So for me, going into Rymans is the most extreme sexual experience one could ever have.
